East London [In Progress]

This project is currently estimated to be completed in Spring 2026. The intent behind this design was to open up the garden and make the upper level feel more welcome and a space you could sit and relax in rather than just view.

The garden is on two levels here, the lower level outside the orangery with dining tables,  large cretan pots and a kitchen garden. The upper level before was a partierre garden with low hedges, roses and sculptures. 

The idea behind the design was to remove the formality of the garden on the upper level, add some low and interesting planting with a large Pinus pinea tree to create shade. The planting would be loose, low and drought tolerant with gravel between pavers made from reclaimed bricks that step you towards the pergola.
