Urban Garden, North London 

This project was completed in May 2025. The client installed a studio in the back of the garden so that they could work from it and have a different space when working from home. The existing garden had no clean access route to the studio and was fairly overgrown and not very practical. 

We designed a space that would be easy to travel through it, using step stones with planting that would knit between them so that you would also feel connected to nature and see green. The planting had a huge focus on lush green foliage and textures with pops of colour in Spring.

The most prominent view of this garden is from the house and large floor-to-ceiling glass doors where you can view the garden and always see something different popping out. The garden is anchored by a very large, existing Beech tree that created dappled shade on both terraces. We designed an evening terrace in front of the studio ideal for breaks between work to sit within the planting and create a very relaxing atmosphere.
